Falco peregrinus
One of the fastest flying birds in the world. The ‘Rolls Royce’
of the falcons. It hunts birds with amazing speed and agility, launching
attacks from high in the sky or sometimes from a vantage point at ground

A dingo drinks from a waterhole with a pup at its side. The dingo controls
kangaroo numbers within its normal range in Australia, but inside the

A large nocturnal nightjar. It eats insects, spiders, frogs and small
mammals. It is extremely well camouflaged when sitting on a branch of

Litoria caerulea
For some reason this frog seems to have a smile on her face. This frog
is very common in northern and eastern Australia, often gathering around
electric lights, in settled areas, to feed on insects.

A young pygmy possum pauses for a moment on a flower of Banksia marginata.
The mouse sized possum feeds on insects and nectar and thrives in low
heath country. It is common in remnant roadside vegetation in southeastern
